Midnight Shift Sydney 2004

These #photographs from a #Drag #Competition at the #MidnightShift in #Sydney in 2004.

These are important events for the #LGBTQ Community because they introduce new talent to the lineup of entertainers and many Drag Queens have gotten their start from opportunities like this.

These photographs were captured with a Nikon Coolpix Camera without a large flash unit at the dawn of the digital age so there is some interesting movement blur. Either way they are historical documents of a bygone era.

The Gallery, Above, contains a selection of colour edited images as the curated camera proofs for narrative context and your viewing pleasure.

Fagmedia Credits Anthem – "Loud and Clear".

A short, triumphant anthem to close out our videos – celebrating unapologetic joy, strength, and community. Fagmedia: Ethical, courageous, fiercely independent.
