Martin Curnow Sydney 2004

This set of #photographs are of Martin Curnow who is one of Fagmedia's favourite models. After extensive consultations with our archivist, who we believe must have failed librarian school, we've decided that these images were taken in Sydney in 2004 not 2005 as the page url suggests!

James met Martin in around about 2003 or 4 when James was living in Sydney and working on Cold Comfort Farm! James has always valued the time they spent together hanging out far from the madding crowd as well as those moments in the odd drinking establishment back in the days when James was a connoisseur of red wine.

In 2007 CADT Photography published Martin's image as part of a website logo for a site that was visited by folks all over the world and prior to that Martin's image was printed in the Perth Bears Newsletter!

It was a conversation with Martin that inspired James to make a special effort to visit Rosslyn Chapel in Scotland to see the fabulous architecture and experience the unique history of the place so we are always grateful for that advice.

Martin is also a fellow beanie connoisseur and we notice he has also become somewhat of an expert in beards since these photographs were taken! Thanks Martin for giving James great travel advice that gave us the memories and our photographs of Rosslyn Chapel and for helping us to be ahead of the curve when the Dan Brown Novel arrived in the world.

We hope to see you in Perth one day, Martin!

The Gallery, Above & Below, contains a selection of colour edited images and the curated camera proofs for narrative context and your viewing pleasure.

As an added bonus, the archive, above, contains some previously unpublished camera proofs from 2008 and yes, we've checked the work of our librarian and we are now satisfied that the dates are probably correct.
