Rolf Forster was the first ever "CADT Model" to have a photo shoot with James in 2003 so these are unique historical images for Fagmedia.
The camera used was one of the first Kodak digitals and the experiment was to capture images in a studio setting using no flash photography. In hindsight this was indeed pushing the limits of the technology.
Like many professionally trained image makers, James has a liking for natural lighting with no flash because harsh flash not only can produce red eyes but it can flatten out the image which we feel removes something of the essential character of the subject.
The colour of these images are the result of the Kodak struggling to deal with the lighting conditions! We do like the effect that results from the black and white. These are a curated set of camera proofs so many of these images are being published here for the first time.
