These are archive photographs from the Bears Perth Newsletter in 2006. James, the President of Fagmedia.org was the Editor in Chief and Chief Photographer for Bears Perth Inc.
The images are not taken from camera proofs but from the Newsletter Edits and so this is the reason for the odd shapes and crops that occur as part of the editing for publication process.
James says: Before Paul Hayter recruited me to be the Editor in Chief and Chief Photographer the Bears in Perth were a small unknown pick up club in Perth. By the time I had finished with the Newsletter the Club were an internationally known pick up club with great media.
The time spent working for the Bears was a steep learning curve about working long hours taking photos for events, editing to tight deadlines and how to deal with complex group dynamics and recalcitrant factions. It was a valuable experience and it's clear that these images are a real slice of Perth Community History".

This is April 2024 so 18 years ago, see above, the Newsletter for April 2006 came out! Below is April 2007, the final Edition that James was Editor in Chief and Chief Photographer.
In July of 2007, James embarked on a round the world photography tour and did not return to live in WA until 2011.
